An accident on K-68 injured two people, sending one to the hospital. Tuesday afternoon, March 28th, shortly after 5:00, a vehicle driven by 54-year-old Jared Johnson, from Wellsville was stopping and waiting to turn on Tennessee road, or stopped behind another vehicle that was waiting to turn, when he was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by 43-year-old Nicholas Schmid, of Hume, Missouri. Schmidt was transported to Overland Park Regional Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Johnson was treated on scene by Franklin County EMS and refused medical transport for further treatment of his injuries.
