Yesterday, the full Kansas Legislature passed the Born Alive Infants Protection. Over the last several weeks, survivors of failed abortion attempts testified in Committee Hearings along with doctors who have witnessed such events. 59th District Representative Rebecca Schmoe describes the Bill and her views on it:
The Bill now heads to Governor Kelly’s desk where she can sign it, allow it to become law without her signature, or veto it. Supporters say they have enough votes to override a veto should Kelly choose to do so.
