A request to the City of Ottawa that it partially vacate a utility easement on property owned by Van Knight Homes has resulted in a suggestion from an Ottawa Planning Commissioner. The request that the city vacate an easement on 929 through 931 East Wilson. A duplex sits on the lot and city officials say the owner didn’t know about the easement. Planning Commission member Rudy Manes says maybe a lesson can be taken from Johnson County.
The Planning Commission is expected to hold a public hearing on the matter at its meeting Wednesday of next week, April 12th.
