Services for children diagnosed as autistic are being expanded in the Ottawa School District. Special Education Assistant Director, Lark Lund, told the School Board about a schedule for the expanded program.
The Ottawa School Board is expected to give its official approval to the new autistic program at its April 10th meeting.
This is National Autistic Acceptance Month. If you believe you child may be autistic, get a diagnosis as soon as possible. Some forms of autism can be detected as early as 18 months old.
