In his monthly Mid America Business Condition Index Survey of supply managers, Creighton University Economist Ernie Goss says the economic index for March was reasonably good but down from February.
Supply managers expect some of their biggest challenges for the rest of the year to be supply chain disruptions, labor shortages, higher interest rates and higher inflation. Meanwhile, the labor market is slowing down but still adding jobs. Approximately 13% of supply managers reported an upturn in hiring.
