The Franklin County District Court sent out subpoenas to nearly two dozen people informing them they’re to appear in court on May 4th for the Preliminary Hearing for Anthony Alvarado on murder charges, Alvarado is accused of murdering his roommate, Dalton Presley, in June of last year at their residence at 11th and Ash. Twenty four other subpoenas were issued in late March. The Preliminary Hearing is to present evidence and determine if there is a basis for a trial. Franklin County Attorney, Brandon Jones, says the case is complex, to say the least:
Alvarado’s case is the first homicide case in Ottawa in over 10 years. He is charged with second degree murder. The Preliminary Hearing for the case is set for Thursday, May 4th at 9:00 in the morning in Franklin County District Court.
