Can the people who are supposed to fight human trafficking actually be part of it? That appears to be the case according to one guest speaker at a special program on human trafficking held Sunday, April 23rd, at Hope Anthem Church in Ottawa. Kristy Childs is the founder of Veronica’s Voice, an agency to empower women to get out of sex trafficking. She said some situations are beyond belief:
Childs was trafficked at the age of 12 and was a victim of sex traffickers for a number of years before she was finally able to get out of her situation.
