America has lost a true hero. Now, there is only one survivor of the USS Arizona Battleship attack at Pearl Harbor. Ken Potts, one of the last two remaining survivors of that attack, passed away Friday at his home in Provo Utah. He was 102 years old. On that fateful day in December of 1941, Potts was a Boatswain Mate working as a crane operator and was up early that Sunday, shuttling supplies to the USS Arizona. When the attack started and sailors were thrown into the water, Potts used his boat to retrieve them and move them to Ford Island.

He describes what he saw in an interview in December of 2021:

The only other living survivor of the Arizona is Louis Canter, also 102 years old. More than 2,400 Americans lost their lives that day
