The Kansas Department of Emergency Management and Franklin County recently held a Disaster Response Drill in an effort to cover all phases of the county in case of a disaster affecting Ottawa or the surrounding area. County Emergency Management Director Thomas Winter coordinated the event, and for the first time, members of the economic community were involved.
