Anyone know when the new Aldi’s is going to be built? When’s the car show? Does Ottawa need another pizza or mexican restaurant? How come the power is out? Are those gunshots? What are all the police cars doing in the park? Where are the sirens going. It rained, are they going to shut the flood gates? And, if so, will that cancel the car show this weekend? You’ve heard all the questions, but, one has partial credibility. The City of Ottawa has scheduled routine maintenance on the floodgates over the Main Street Bridge, set for Sunday, May 7th at 6:00 in the morning. The hope is that traffic will be light at that time and they can get the work done in a couple hours.
Traffic will be rerouted from main and K-68 to Seventh Street and from Main and Seventh to K-68. And no fear, the plan is to have the gates open in time for the car show……in September!
