City of Osawatomie Public Works Director Michele Silsbee, has announced three upcoming public meetings to discuss the planned redesign and full-depth reconstruction of 6th Street, one of the largest street rehabilitation projects ever undertaken by the City of Osawatomie.
The redesign of 6th Street is nearing 50% completion and staff continues to work with engineering partners, BG Consultants, on the remaining design and project scope. Silsbee is eager to include the public in the project and is looking forward to engaging with residents during the informational meetings through May and June. Three afternoon meetings are currently scheduled with an “after hours” fourth meeting to be determined at a later date. The purpose of these meetings is to gain public feedback regarding the project. The meetings are scheduled for Thursday,May 10th, the next May 25th and the third meeting June 22nd, and a final meeting from 6:00 to 7:00 will be announced soon.
