A new life saving tool for unwanted infants may, at some point, be located at an Ottawa Fire Station. During the regular Ottawa City Commission Study Session, Fire Chief Tim Matthias, described the project:
An Ottawa resident, Angie Malik, is helping to coordinate the drive for the box. Malik says she wants to put the baby safety box at a fire station in memory of her daughter, who passed away over a year ago. Matilda Malik was five years old, and she loved firefighters.
