We all know the dangers of drugs, particularly with the onset of fentanyl overdoses in our area. Drug users and dealers are finding new ways to transport their product. Kansas sheriff’s are warning people about finding a folded up dollar bill in their yard or on the street. Several cases of folded dollar bills, when unfolded, have led to the discovery of a white powdery substance spilling out. Usually this is meth or some other type of opiate. The problem is, if it would happen to be laced with fentanyl, just touching it could cause a reaction that could be deadly.
Now, touching the skin is not the problem, but people tend to put their fingers in their mouth or rub their eyes, which would allow the drug to absorb into their system. Kids are especially at risk for exposure to chemicals because they are completely unaware of the dangers that exist.
Just another thing to be aware of in an increasingly dangerous world.
