The Franklin County Commission is being asked to make a small investment in two broadband projects being sponsored by KwiKom. Company Representative John Terry told commissioners about the proposals.

Terry says the company is asking the county for letters of support in its application for state grants to do the projects. They would also like the county to do what is called a co-investment of a few thousand dollars to show the state that official agencies support what KiwiKom has in mind. Terry says the projects would cost around $3.5 million each, and could run even higher. County officials will make a decision on the support letters and possible co-investment in a few days.
