The Kansas Corporation Commission, or KCC, has scheduled three public hearing in July to give Evergy customers an opportunity to learn more about the company’s recent rate increase request and make comments before the commission. The application, filed with the KCC on April 25, requests a rate increase of $14.24 per month for Evergy Central customers and $3.47 for Evergy Metro customers.
Public hearings will be held in Topeka, Overland Park and Wichita. The first is Tuesday, July 11th at 6:00 in the evening at the Washburn Institute of Technology in Topeka. Another,July 13th at 6: at the KU Edwards Best Conference Center in Overland Park and finally a third on July 27th at Wichita State University at the Low Auditorium.
