The Kansas Supreme Court recently rescinded several COVID 19 orders and gave updates to temporary rules. They basically opened the court system again, knocking our restrictions on jury trials in temporary locations and opened up the court to resume normal proceedings. However, Franklin County Attorney Brandon Jones, says just because the courts are fully open doesn’t mean that all things that changed during COVID will go away:

The next day Governor Laura Kelly declared a State of Disaster Emergency and on March 13th, President Trump declared a National Emergency. The Kansas Supreme Court suspended all State Court operations, other that essential and emergency hearings due to COVID March 18th of 2020.
