When Ottawa Utility Director, Dennis Tharp ,was presented with the Service Excellence Award from Kansas Municipalities last week, Mayor Eric Crowley pried him for his dedication to quality service. However, Tharp was quick to point out and give praise back to the employees in the Utilities Department, many of which were at the meeting to support him:
Tharp added that receiving the award is very humbling and that he and his crew have done a lot in the past several years to make Ottawa a better place.
