Miami County and Osage City are receiving money from the Community Development Block Grant Fund. The Grants were awarded for water and sewer projects as well as commercial rehabilitation and housing. Lieutenant Governor and Secretary of Commerce, David Toland, says the Grants are tailored to assist in funding broader needs of communities across the state and play a vital role in the health and well being of cities and counties.
The Water and Sewer Program is designed to support communities by upgrading and expanding their water and sewer infrastructure. Miami County will receive $305,126 for building a lift station to pump sewage. Osage City will receive $470,801 for rehabilitating sewer mains and manholes.
