New concerns arise after police shut down a benefit motorcycle run in Miami County last weekend. Social Media posts are encouraging bikers to head for Louisburg again, soon and gather for a protest of perceived police interference with that charity event. The Night Train Run, which collects toys and raises money for less-fortunate kids’ holiday season gifts, made a stop in Louisburg on Saturday, May 26th. Some in the group say Louisburg Police discriminated against the motorcycle riders. Confusion started shortly after the bikers arrived at Bub’s Bar and Grille. Setup wasn’t complete and bikers were told they could park in one location, but were not able to. Also, Louisburg Police Chief Josh Weber, says he noticed bikers blocking traffic on the street. Eventually the riders left, without conducting a charity auction inside the bar, which organizers say cost them $10,000 in donations. As social media posts continue to come in about the rally scheduled for Monday, Chief Weber says he just wants peace:

Louisburg’s Police Department employs nine officers. Weber has reached out to neighboring agencies to be ready in case help is needed. Michael Bergen, who organizes the Night Train Run, says he is asking everyone to be respectful and courteous to the City of Louisburg.
