We often hear about food deserts in the city; a situation where residents have no local grocery store to buy food; but, a surprising reality apparently is there are food deserts in Franklin County. During the Regular Ransom Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees Meeting, Community Health Representative, Sheila Robertson, presented results of a Community Health Survey:
Robertson went over some priorities for AdventHealth Ottawa for the next three years, based on the results of various surveys conducted over a period of several months.
