Former Ottawa City Manager, Richard Nienstedt, has a new role. Yesterday, he was named the Acting City Manager for Topeka. Topeka City Manager, Stephen Wade, announced to the City Council that he needs to take an extended leave of absence for an undisclosed amount of time. Nienstedt says he doesn’t want to be at it for very long. He spoke with KOFO’s Milton Ammel:
Nienstedt made a surprise appearance at the Ottawa City Commission Meeting to share in an award presented by the Employer Support for the Guard and Reserve for the City of Ottawa’s support of military personnel when they are called up for active duty.
