The fate of an important liquor law will be up to Franklin County voters in November. The law requires establishments to make at least 30% of their revenue from food sales if they want to sell alcohol to be consumed on the premises. Franklin County Clerk, Janet Paddock, gave some background to the County Commission:
The County Commission voted unanimously to put the question on the Fall Ballot. If the voters pass the amendment, it would eliminate the 30% food sales requirement.
