The Kansas Department of Transportation has announced approved bids for state highway construction and maintenance projects, and a project in our area concerning bridges will be addressed. First, in Franklin County, the bridge over Eight Mile Creek, northwest of Ottawa will be replaced. Dondlinger and Sons Construction will put in a new bridge for just over $1.1 million.
Four bridges in Osage county will get repairs, all on Highway 75, all the bridges lie within three miles north of the Coffey County line. Wildcat Construction will do the repairs for just over $937,000.
