The Kansas Bureau of Investigation and the FBI, along with local police and fire departments responded yesterday,June 16th, after mail was received by Legislators and other public officials, containing a suspicious white powder. As of 4:00 yesterday afternoon, over thirty letters have been reported across the State.
Law enforcement is working to safely collect the letters and the investigation is ongoing. Currently no injuries have been reported. Any similar incidents should be reported to the KBI at 1-800-KSCRIME.
