The state of Kansas has awarded nearly 10 million dollars to 26 recipients for training and workforce development in high demand and high wage industries through the Delivering Residents and Workforce Program. One of those organizations receiving the money is COF Training Services in Ottawa, who will receive $243,000.

High demand and critical need industries are facing a severe labor shortage in the state of Kansas. The workforce continues to be a key need as Kansas recovers from the pandemic and moves forward with transformational economic development projects. This program will address workforce shortages and training needs in high demand and critical need industries, including but not limited to healthcare providers, education providers, technology-based businesses, and employers working with the blind, visually or hearing impaired, or persons with other disabilities.
