On Tuesday, June 20th, law enforcement officers with the Franklin County Drug Enforcement Unit, assisted by the Ottawa Police Department Star Team executed a search warrant at 1126 South Hickory Street in Ottawa regarding a drug investigation. After the warrant was conducted, three people were arrested. Twenty one year old Jagger Rowland of Ottawa for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and aggravated child endangerment. Twenty four year old Sydne McCurdy of Ottawa, for aggravated child endangerment. Thirty one year old Breanna Parsons of Ottawa, for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, no drug tax stamp, and aggravated child endangerment. Seven children were taken into police protective custody after this investigation. The children ranged in age from six months to twelve years old.
The cooperation between the Sheriff’s Office and Ottawa Police Department is a key part of keeping our communities safe. We will continue to work together to prevent the distribution of drugs such as methamphetamine and fentanyl in our communities.
The same day, police officers responded to a call in the 1300 block of Beech to an unresponsive person with CPR in progress. Officers arrived and administered a dose of narcan and revived the person. Suspected fentanyl was recovered at the scene.
