A report out from the Kansas Department of Commerce shows the median wages for all the counties in Kansas and any increases hourly wages have seen over the past year. According to the data on the report, Franklin County has median hourly wage of $19. 37, with a median income for workers at $40,288 per year. This is an increase of $1.27 over last year, or just over 7%. Anderson County’s hourly wage averages $18.00 an hour, with an average annual wage of $37,440 , an increase of only 4 cents an hour over last year. Miami County has an hourly wage average of $20.46 for a yearly wage of just over $42,500, an increase of over 12% from last year. Osage County with an hourly average of $17.60 and a yearly wage of $36,600. Linn County’s hourly wage averaged $21.62 with a yearly average of just under $45,000.
Wyandotte County was the states highest hourly average at $22.87, and yearly average of $47,500. Cloud County saw the biggest increase year to year with an 18.6% increase in hourly wage, while Greenwood County saw a drop in hourly wage of 2.25%
