Reports of a missing child in Princeton on Friday, July 7th, brought out the entire community to search for the child. The call came in that afternoon a 1:48 about a 6-year-old boy that had been missing for about an hour. The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office responded in full force, with multiple deputies as well as the Ottawa Fire Department drone, and officers from other agencies. Officers went door to door to all the businesses and residents in town asking if anyone had seen him. They were joined by a large number of Princeton residents who came out to assist, offering ATV’s, UTV’s, flying drones and pretty much anything else you can think of to help law enforcement locate the child as quickly as possible. The boy was found safe and healthy later that day.

The sheriff’s department highlighted the sense of community in the small town during the search. Officials says Princeton residents modeled the perfect example of small-town living and thanked the community for it’s help.
