The Ottawa Planning Commission has held a Public Hearing on the proposed use of the Days’ Inn as Ottawa University student housing. City Planner, Jenna Hillyer, described the general scope of the project:
No one from the public showed up to comment on the project. Officials expect the building to house around 80 students. OU Campus President, Dr. Reggies Wenyika, says they would like to start moving students in as early as july 31st but realizes that the building may not be completely ready by then, so that move in date could be pushed back a few days. Official move in starts August 3rd, with classes starting August 7th.
