With the start of the Franklin County Fair this week, traditionally, the year’s Mister and Miss 4-H are named. However, this year, a twist. There were no candidates for Mister 4-H. Frontier Extension Agent Josie Thompson with what they did this year:
The Franklin County Fair actually started with the Fashion Review and Clothing competitions a couple weeks ago, the Horse Show was held also. Today, July 17th, you’ll notice all kinds of activity at the fairgrounds. The carnival rides going up, some exhibits being brought in and then tomorrow, July 18th, things get started in earnest, with the livestock and other animals weighing in. Shows get started Wednesday, July 19th along with the Ranch Rodeo.
