At a recent Ottawa City Commission Study Session, Franklin county Clerk, Janet Paddock, gave a presentation to the commissioners about the increased costs of operating the 911 service. However, she did remind commissioners of a nice chunk of money the county was able to give them from the previous year.
Next year, Ottawa’s portion of the 911 dispatch service will be $585,000. Sounds like a lot but, when you think about 24/7 service, it’s quite a good deal.
