The U. S. District Court for the District of Kansas dismissed the Federal lawsuit alleging sexual harassment and discrimination filed against former Kansas Highway Patrol Superintendent, Herman T. Jones and other members of the Kansas Highway Patrol. In a media release, the Kansas Highway Patrol says they remain committed to carrying out their difficult mission of service, courtesy, and protection to the people of Kansas. The judge’s decision will help the agency re-focus on that mission.

Newly appointed Superintendent Colonel Erik Jones says he is dedicated to fair and transparent leadership at the Kansas Highway Patrol and cares deeply about the welfare of all employees serving in his agency. He adds that the administration and all agency members will be held to the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
