Drivers in south Ottawa need to be aware that there will be construction going on for the next couple weeks on Princeton Street and will effect your commute across town. Starting today, Precision Construction and Contracting will begin work on the outside lanes of Princeton, north of 23rd Street. They will be making joint repairs to the concrete pavement. The work should be complete by August 13th, weather permitting. If you are driving in that area, please be extra caution, as there will be construction workers and equipment in the area. Please slow down and be aware of the situation.
There are an increasing number of accidents on Kansas roadways in construction zones, leading to both injuries to drivers and to workers. The Ottawa Police Department will be enforcing all traffic laws within the construction zone and remember, fines double in construction zones.
