A truck driver suffered serious injuries last night when high winds toppled his rig on I-35 just outside Ottawa. The crash was reported at 8:35 last night on I-35 at Montana Road. This was on the southeast side of Ottawa. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2018 Kenworth semi trailer was southbound on I-35 when high winds caused the truck to overturn, coming to rest across both lanes of travel. The driver, 58 year-old Dennis Pflaum of DeSoto, was transported to Olathe Medical Center with serious injuries.
