The city of Osawatomie Public Works Department is preparing for curbside collections of storm debris tomorrow, Aug 2nd, and repeating Wednesday, August 9th. Crew members will pick up tree limbs and other natural yard waste that resulted from Sunday evening’s strong thunderstorm. Residents are asked to have all yard waste materials pulled to the curb by 8:00 am tomorrow as city workers will not enter private property to retrieve fallen limbs or other damages.
This special collection service will only pickup natural yard waste resulting from storm damage. Any other materials will be left on the curb and remain the responsibility of the property owner. For residents on Walnut Avenue between 4th and 6th Street currently impacted by road construction, city crews will collect storm debris from the alley instead of curbside. Please be courteous of neighboring properties and do not block the alley or other access points.
