Yesterday, you could hear chainsaws and machinery cutting downed trees and see trucks hauling away loads of limbs all around town. If you are worried about what to do with all the storm debris littering your yard and neighborhood, you can relax, the city of Ottawa will take care of it’s removal. Ottawa Public Works Director, Michael Haefele says all you have to do is get them to your curb and they will eventually pick them up:
Also, a reminder to everyone to be careful while cutting and moving any downed trees and if you see any type of wire on the them or if a tree is leaning against a wire, stop and contact the city of Ottawa to help assess the situation.
