People are still cleaning up from the damaging storm now almost tow weeks ago, and that includes spoiled food caused by the extended blackout. Just how much food was spoiled because of the extended power outage? Franklin County Public Works Director David Lee says his crews took in quite a large amount last week.
Drivers are still dealing with scattered traffic signal malfunctions caused by the storm, particularly at 15th and Main. The traffic light is out at that intersection and it is being treated as a 4-way stop. Ottawa Police remind people that four-way stops always operate in a clockwise direction. So, the car furthest to the right always has the right of way, and then cars take their turns in a clockwise direction. City officials say it could still be a while before everything is back to normal.
