The winners of the Miami County King Author Pie Baking Contest have been announced. Marais Des Cygnes Extension District Gent Cathy Gul says peach ruled the night.
The pie auction after the contest is always well attended and the pies well sought after, and that was very evident at the annual event. For the second year in a row, the pie catching the most amount was a strawberry rhubarb, which brought in $195. In all the auction raised over $2,000 for the Miami County Fair Association.
