Harry and Juanita Peckham recently attended the National Christmas Tree Convention held by the National Christmas Tree Association in Minnesota. While there, they received the Iron Horse Award from the National Christmas Tree Association for “service above and beyond” for the Christmas tree industry. The award was in recognition of their efforts to support the Trees for Troops Program with their Trees for Troops Bears. For more than 10 years they have traveled to three to four state grower meetings each summer to promote Trees for Troops and to sell the Trees for Troops Bears to raise funds to support the program.
