We’ve all heard of fentanyl and the danger it poses to our community and how deadly it can be. But, what do you really know and how can you get narcan, the treatment used to hopefully bring someone out of an overdose? A meeting tonight, August 23rd, at the Franklin County Annex can answer a lot of questions people may have. Ashley Confer with the Franklin County Drug Coalition tells us more:
Some scary facts. As of this week, Franklin County EMS has already been to the same number of opioid overdoses as all of 2022. Even though Kansas has a lower than national average instance of non fatal opioid overdoses, Franklin County has a higher than national average instance.
A free meal will be served to the first 50 people attending and child care will be provided.
