Franklin County EMS, Franklin County Sheriff’s Department, LOH and the Ottawa Fire Department responded to 3698 Georgia Road yesterday afternoon, August 27th, on a report of a water rescue, just before 2:00. However, things quickly changed as the first responder on scene relayed information that the person was dead. The victim has been identified at 76 year old Robert Fleming of Ottawa.
Not a lot of detail as to how or what happened has been released as of airtime. We do know that rescue swimmers had to enter the water to retrieve Fleming.
