The Trade Winds Bar and Grill in Garnett, embattled in a controversial KDHE report citing them as the source of an infection that was ailing the owner, who says to her knowledge no one but herself was infected, have opened with new hours. Starting today, they will be open from 11:00 in the morning until 10:00 at night, with the kitchen closing at 9:00. Wednesday and Thursdays, they open from 3:00 in the afternoon until 10:00 at night and Friday and Saturdays, they will be open from 11:00 to 11:00.
Owner Angi Smith says that contrary to rumors, they were never told to close down and she still doesn’t understand why the KDHE chose to issue their media release two days after they passed inspection and were told they could remain open. She says she appreciates everyone’s continued patronage at the Trade Winds.
