Another big step toward bringing high speed internet to rural homes and businesses. Recently, White House Coordinator, Mitch Landrieu and Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack announced another investment in the USDA Reconnect Program, designed to bring high speed internet to rural areas. Vilsack said the latest edition totals $667 million for projects in 22 states
That includes famers who, Vilsack says, needs internet to use precision agriculture technology and who will need it to produce and market climate smart products.
