The city of Wellsville wants the Kansas Department of Transportation to talk to them about what to do at the intersection of 7th Street and K-33. City officials are mulling whether to close or open the street to K-33. After extensive discussion, the city council decided to take action and Wellsville Mayor, Bill Lytle, read a proposed motion:
Whether the KDOT officials will show up is anyone’s guess since the city has no power to compel state authorities to come to the meeting.
