The Ottawa City Hall is in need of security upgrades, but the price right now may be too high. When it went out to bid, Lloyd Builders was the only bidder with a price of about $165,000; far over the estimated cost of around $103,000. Information Technology Director, Paul Sommer told City Commissioners about the dilemma:
The City Commission directed Sommer to try to get a better deal with Lloyd Builders.
