Frogs. We have tons of them in Kansas. We hear them and see them everywhere and all the time. Did you know that Kansas has 24 different species of frogs in the state? Did you know that one of them is the only poisonous in the United States? They are rare, but, one of those is being treated for injuries at a wildlife center in Wichita. Pickeral frogs are about 2 inches around, and are identified by two rows of dark, squarish spots running down it’s side. You probably don’t have to worry about them around here, as they are only known to inhabit the southeastern corner of the state in dense vegetation.
