Two hundred thirty six years ago, September 17th, 1787, the framers of our Constitution gathered in a room to sign a document that is still in effect today. The Ottawa City Commission has issued a Proclamation recognizing September 17th through the 23rd as Constitution Week. April Jenkinson with the Daughters of the American Revolution accepted the Proclamation. Jenkinson talked about the history of the Constitution:
