A number of questions were answered during the latest Ransom Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees meeting. Joining trustees were several officials of AdventHealth Ottawa. One question that has been asked recently is how can the hospital expect a patient to pay with a hospital offered credit card with an interest rate of almost 30%. Chief Financial Officer, Shawn Perry said there are several payment options for patients:
Perry emphasized that AdventHealth Ottawa does a lot of charity care, which is financed partly by the local sales tax, earmarked for support of the hospital, and by Advent itself.
