October is a month when a lot of things happen and one of the things that happens is something most would rather not think about. October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and the Franklin County Commission has approved a proclamation in recognition of the event. Commission Chair, Ianne Dickinson read from the proclamation:
Many studies indicate that domestic violence increased during lockdowns and similar activities prompted by the COVID 19 pandemic.
