When it comes to giving out money for bridge repair and replacement, the state likes to spread the money out across the state, so with the Osborne Bridge already being funded, Franklin County Public Works Director, David Lee was surprised when K-Dot allocated a million dollars to help with the replacement of a bridge on Texas Road, just south of Sand Creek. He says it is much needed:
Lee says the money allocated for the bridge is for fiscal year 2025, so construction won’t start till then, but the design is completed and it will be out to bid soon.
